On September 12, 2025, the launching ceremony of the “National Science Popularization Month” and the visit of academicians and experts to Changzhou was successfully held in the Changzhou Economic Development Zone. Academician Fan Mingwu of the Chinese Academy of Engineering was invited to attend and delivered a keynote speech titled “Is Nuclear Energy Really That Scary? – A Brief Discussion on Nuclear Energy and Nuclear Technology,” offering the audience an authoritative yet easy-to-understand scientific presentation.
At the event, government representatives, researchers, industry professionals, and teachers and students from several middle schools in the Changzhou Economic Development Zone gathered together for this grand event of science popularization and innovation. Looking back at the development journey of Centuray’s industry-academia-research collaboration, from the initial contact with Huazhong University of Science and Technology in February 2023 regarding the establishment of an academician workstation, to its official unveiling and launch on December 7, 2024, the company has consistently focused on “building bridges and integrating resources” over the past two years, actively promoting the deep integration of university research advantages with local industrial development and government planning needs.
